LUNA WHISPERS: CHAPTER 30

Image
FREYA POV W e arrived at the pack safely and, thankfully without any hindrance in the way. Honestly, a small part of me will miss the human world because of Helen. But I won't miss it because of Tyra. I can't believe she sold me out like that. I can't believe I even trusted her. I'm happy we're out of there safely and I'm happy we have Kiran. I can't wait to rekindle the friendship we have. After I received those lost memories yesterday, I realized that if I had remembered him all the while that I was in the pack, I would have looked for him long before now. I missed him. We arrived at the pack and we were let inside. The pack warriors bowed as we entered. "Tell them we're back." Ace said authoritatively. Kiran looked around him, probably trying to assess the environment he was in. I'm sure it wasn't what he was used to in the human world. Well, things were about to get very different for him. I touched his shoulder and asked him, ...

LUNA WHISPERS: CHAPTER 29

FREYA POV W e followed Helen as she directed us to where the witch boy was. Well, he isn't much of a boy but a man now. I wonder what he looked like. She took us to a deep part of the forest, there was a waterfall there, it was serene, the type of place you would go to when you want a moment of peace.  "He usually comes here to meditate. The type of power he has needs a lot of concentration." She said. "How long has he been staying at the cottage?" I asked.  "He's been staying there since I rescued him from death. My husband was the town prosecutor." She said. "Where is he now?" I asked her. "He is dead. But he lived a full life." She said and I smiled. "I'm sure he did." I said. She touched my shoulder and went back to what she was telling us. "My husband and I couldn't believe that he did it. It just didn't seem possible. There was no trace of blood. No evidence that anything ever happened and he w...

LUNA WHISPERS: CHAPTER 28

FREYA POV I woke up the next morning. Ace was not next to me and I wondered where he had gone. I stood up to look for him. We're in a foreign land, it's not safe to wander around without each other. I stepped out of the room and I went downstairs. Talia was still behind the counter wearing a dress that left nothing to imagination. It's not like I'm judging her because I'm definitely not. It's just that I've never seen people dress like that before in the pack. So I do not know how to react to it. She turned to look at me and when she saw me, she gave a little smirk and turned away. I went down the stairs to talk to her, maybe she saw Ace leaving. "Goodmorning." I said to her and she didn't respond. That was quite rude. "I said Goodmorning." I repeated. She turned to look at me, her face looking distasteful. "I heard you. What do you want?" She said.  "You could have responded at least." I whispered. I knew she he...

LUNA WHISPERS: CHAPTER 27

FREYA POV A fter my conversation with Ace. We decided to talk to the Council, we needed to give them good reasons why we should be allowed to cross the boundary. I was sure they would see reason. I have a feeling that my visions would help us or at least some of my visions. I still have to figure out how to get rid of the evil version of me that I keep seeing. She scares me. I keep remembering what the Sage said about fears and doubt. I do not know how to go about it but I really hope I don't see her again, at least for a while. I do not want to be disoriented because of her but something tells me that this thought is too good to be true. Ace stepped inside the room, his face looked calm, I'm hoping that it means that the council has agreed to hear us out. "What did they say?" I asked. He sat down next to me, his eyes boring into mine. "They have agreed to grant us a meeting." He said and a smile made it's way to my face. "That is great news, when...
