LUNA WHISPERS: CHAPTER 21

FREYA POV

You're pregnant.

That was all I could hear, it was ringing in my ears. I looked at Neveah and she seemed worried about me. I was still shocked by the news to feel anything but when the shock dulled down. I could only feel one thing. Happy. Ace and I are going to have a baby.

I looked at Neveah and a look of pure joy erupted on my face. 

"I'm pregnant. Ace and I are going to have a child Neveah." I said to her smiling widely that one would think my lips would split into two. Neveah smiled back but she still had a worried look on her face. I knew why. How was I going to hide this from Kye? This only meant one thing. I had to go home. I can't risk my baby's life. Being here on my own is one thing. But carrying this child now it's another. It's going to be really dangerous.

"Freya, what are you going to do now? How are you going to hide it from Kye?" She said

"I have to leave Neveah, that is the only way I can protect this child. My mission here is over, maybe sooner than I expected but my child's life is more important now." I said and she nodded looking sad. I held her hand.

"I want you to come with me Neveah." I said. She looked happy and shocked at the proposition.

"How are we going to leave?" She said. I looked down frowning.

"We will go the day after tomorrow. Ace is going to be at the dragon fruit tree awaiting my message, you will come with me and then we'll leave." I said determined. Kye stepped in and Neveah stood up.

"Are you not done checking her temperature. I didn't think it would take this long." He said.

"Sorry, I was just telling her to have some rest. I'll go prepare something for you to drink Thea." Nevaeh said and then she stepped away.

Kye walked close to the bed and sat next to me. He held my hand looking concerned. 

"You must be overworking yourself." He said calmly. I looked at him and smiled a bit.

"Is the work I gave you too much?" He asked. I shook my head.

"No, It must just be something I ate that caused it. You never know." I said. He nodded his head in agreement.

"Alright, just rest okay. I'll leave you for a bit." He said and I laid down turning my face the other way while he left. I touched my tummy whispering.

"We'll be fine, baby. We'll be fine." I said before closing my eyes once more to sleep.

DARREN POV

"I'm going to see Freya tomorrow morning. It has been two days already." Ace said but I wasn't actually listening. I was looking at Ralia outside training with her sword. Does she do this every morning? I didn't notice until now. 

"Darren? Are you listening to me at all?" He asked.

"Sorry, what was it you said before?" I asked. Ace looked outside the window where my eyes were trained and he smiled a bit.

"Now I see why you're so distracted. You know if you like her just tell her." He said 

"It has not reached to that extent Ace." I said. 

"Sure." Ace said smiling with an amused look on his face.

"You know what, I'm leaving." I said and he laughed as he watched me go.

I went outside and I heard her call me. I turned and I saw her waving. She smiled a bit, but she also could not meet my eyes. Probably remembering what she did yesterday. It was quite cute. 

"Can you come over?" She shouted. I walked towards her. 

"Do you need anything Ralia." I said. 

"No, I do not." She said. Suddenly she straightened her shoulders and cleared her throat. I couldn't help the smile that came on my lips when she did that. It was a bit funny.

"I wanted to say. About yesterday." She said clearly struggling.

"I did not mean to say all that. Can we just forget about it?" She said.

"Which part?" I said wanting to tease her.

"Pardon?" She said 

"Which part did you not mean? The part where I was handsome or the part where I got the wrong perception about us." I said smiling.

"I do not…" She said but when I came closer to her, looking down at her she couldn't finish her sentence. She had quite a small frame and her eyes were really pretty, a beautiful shade of Hazel.

"Which part was it Ralia?" I said. We just stood there looking at each other. Until a voice cut us both from our trance.

"Ralia." The voice said and we both sprung apart. It was Yuri. He looked between the two of us suspicious.

"Excuse me, my lady." I said and I left abruptly not sparing Yuri a glance.

RALIA POV

I watched him walk away while father walked closer to me, blocking my vision of him. I've never been at loss for words before but the short time I have spent close to him, my words seem to fail me.

"I'm sorry I'm late for our training sweetheart. I had certain matters to take care of with Devon." Father said.

"It's alright father. Can we begin?" I asked. My father looked at me, a question resting on the tip of his tounge I'm sure.

"Out with it father." I said 

"What are you talking about." He said feigning ignorance.

"I know you want to ask me something. What is it?" I asked. He looked at me.

"You and Darren huh?" He said looking at me smiling a bit.

"No, of course not father. Get your mind out of the gutter." I said defensively.

"Ralia, with the way you two were standing and looking at each other one would think differently." Father said. He poked my hand after talking.

"Tell me the truth." He said 

"Do you like him?" He asked.

"Father can we just train. Please." I said looking down. I certainly did not want to discuss this.

"Just remember Ralia, you deserve to be happy after everything you've been through." He said and I smiled at him.

"Thank you Father." I said and not long after we started training.

FREYA POV

I woke up In the morning more energized than I was yesterday, maybe the baby was more relaxed today than the other days.

"Looks like you've decided to give me a break my love." I said stroking my belly. I wanted to go and talk to Jacob later to inform him of our plan to go back to the pack tomorrow. I know I don't say it much but I miss home a lot. I miss seeing mothers face. Even Ralia's sarcastic nature would be a breath of fresh air now. I wore my clothes and I stepped out of the bathroom only to be greeted by Kye.

"Are you feeling better now?" He asked 

"Yes I am, thank you." I said to him.

"Are you going out? Is it not better that you rest for a while longer." He said.

"I am feeling much better now Kye. I need to walk around. I'm already feeling suffocated inside here." I said.

"Alright." He sighed.

"Would you like company?" He asked me.

"No, I would like to go alone." I told him. He nodded and watched me as I left.

KYE POV

I knew it was useless stopping her. Once she wanted to do something nothing would stop her from doing it. Thea was strong headed. I smiled at the thought as I left for my chambers. When I arrived I saw a rogue maid looking at me timidly. She was the one I spent the night with the last time. The day those men attacked Thea.

"What do you want?" I asked the girl.

"I heard something quite disturbing yesterday night. I wanted to tell you about it." She said 

"What is it about?" I asked her.

"While I was passing Thea's room yesterday. I heard her and Neveah discussing something. I believe she is a spy my lord." The girl said. I was angry at this, how could she say such.

"I warn you now. Do not make false accusations against my second. That will attract severe consequences." I said 

"My lord, I would never accuse anybody falsely." She said 

"I heard Neveah say that she was pregnant. She called her another name. She called her Freya. And Thea plans to run away tomorrow. She mentioned a name. She said Ace." The maid disclosed. I was shocked. There has to be an explanation for this.

"Go, now." I said and the maid ran off. I went into my room. Thinking about everything the maid had said. No, this cannot be possible. She wouldn't do this. Well there's only one way to find out. I would ask her myself. I went outside to find Thea and to get my answers.

FREYA POV

I went to the weaponry shed to talk to Jacob. I pulled him aside and told him we had something important to discuss. He nodded and followed me outside.

"How are you feeling? Neveah told me everything." He said looking at me concerned.

"Then you know what we plan to do then." I told him. He nodded his head.

"I know but I cannot follow you." He said.

"Why?" I asked him.

"I will be more beneficial to the pack and to you if I stay here Freya. Trust me. I know what I'm doing. You and Neveah should leave, I will be much useful here." He said 

"Are you sure about this?" I asked him.

"Yes, I am." He said. 

"I will come back for you Jacob." I said and he smiled.

"You need not do that my lady. I will find my way to you." He said.

"I hope you're not bothering Thea too much with your nerdy talks Jacob". I heard Kye say behind us. I thought I told him that I wanted to be alone. I turned to Kye and his eyes looked different, like something had hurt him and pained him but he was hiding it with a smile.

"He isn't bothering me." I said to Kye.

"Can you come with me for a while Thea. I would like to discuss something with you." He said. 

"Of course. Let us go." I said to him. I followed him as we went upstairs. He took me up to his room.

"Come on, go inside." He said. But this time something was stopping me. Something seemed wrong with Kye.

"You know I suddenly feel a headache coming. I think I'll go to my room. Can we talk later." I said wanting to leave. But Kye stood in front of me.

"I want to talk now." He said with finality. He opened the room and dragged me with him and then he bolted it shot.

"Kye, what is the matter with you." I said scared.

"I want to give you a chance to explain yourself and tell me that it's not true. Tell me that all that maid told me is not true. Tell me that you did not betray me, Thea or is it Freya. I don't even know who you are anymore." He said. When he said my name it came as a shock to me. How did he find out? Who told him? He looked very angry now.

"What are you talking about?" I said before he cut me off.

"Let the next thing that comes out of your mouth not be a lie. I have that friend of yours hostage. One little lie and I promise you. Her blood will be on your hands." He said. Neveah.

"Do not hurt her." I said 

"Then start talking." He said, his eyes glaring at me.

"My name is Freya, Luna of the moon pack. I came here of my own will, to get information about you and the rouges and to find a way to destroy you. I want to seek revenge for everything you've ever done to me." I said. 

"What are you talking about?" He said still angry. I was surprised he was this calm. Was it his feelings for me?

"I am that girl whose family you murdered ten years ago because of a simple dare. I was the girl you turned and I am the one who will be your destruction Kye." I said glaring at him with all the anger in me.

Kye turned his back on me and screamed, he kicked things as he did so. He ran to me and grabbed my hair tightly, hurting me in the process.

"Who else are you working with, apart from Neveah." He said.

"Neveah isn't part of this. Please don't hurt her I'm In it alone." I said. 

"You really think I'm stupid. How would you have been able to frame Eren without help from anybody. She was the maid who reported him to me. You liar!" He screamed and threw me on the floor. I landed with such a huge impact that my stomach started to hurt me.

"I showed you nothing but love, I opened myself up to you." He said and I cut him off.

"I do not care about your love. I only love one person and that is your brother and my heart will always belong to him. All I want to do to you is kill you. I want to make you pay for everything you've done to me. For killing my family. I would love nothing more than to see you die by my hands!" I screamed. It was as though he didn't hear anything I said. As if he was only listening to one sentence.

"You love my brother." He said bending down and looking at me. His eyes so intense they almost scared me. He held my chin tightly bringing my face towards his.

"Ace has always had everything he wanted. Our father's love, Alpha of the pack. He's had everything." He said. He brings me closer to him.

"I will not let him have you as well, Thea." He said. 

"You are mine and only mine." He said not taking his eyes off me once.

"Everything about you is mine. Your body, your soul, Those beautiful lips I cannot stop thinking about everyday. They are all mine." He said sounding hysterical. Before I knew it his lips landed on mine forcefully, bruising me. I pushed him away and spat on his face.

"You're insane!" I screamed at his face.

"I'm insane only because of you!" He screamed at mine.

"Just kill me. I would rather die than spend another moment with you." I said. He looked at me tenderly.

"I would never kill you. I love you." He said.

"No." I said shaking my head. Suddenly he dragged me up and threw me on the bed.

"You will stay here and you will not go anywhere. If you try anything. I will kill that little friend of yours." He said.

"No, no." Kye left the room and locked me inside it. I ran towards it banging the door and screaming his name.

"Let me go!" I screamed. I continued sobbing and slid down the floor. 

"Ahhhhhh" I screamed.

KYE POV

I went outside the territory and towards the garden screaming at the top of my voice in anger. She betrayed me, she never loved me. That I was all I could think about. Ace can't have her. He can't have her back. He won't take her away from me as well.

She must love me.

She's mine and mine alone.

She will be my Luna when I take everything from Ace. Whether she likes it or not. I left the gardens and went to the guard house. I ordered two guards to stand watch over my room and make sure that Thea does not escape. I cannot risk her running away. They both obeyed my orders and did exactly as I told them.

I went to the dungeons where Thea's accomplice Neveah was. She was going to do one task for me.

"Are you comfortable traitor?" I asked. She looked up at me, she glared at me with her eyes. I smirked at her.

"You did not hurt her right?" I asked the guards.

"We did exactly as you said, we didn't touch a hair on her head even though traitors deserve worse." One of them said.

"You will do as I say. Not as hair on her head must be hurt unless I order it." 

"Now, I have a task for you." I said to her.
