LUNA WHISPERS: CHAPTER 15

 

FREYA POV

Immediately after breakfast, I took an excuse from Kye. I ran to the back of the maid quarters and threw up. I threw up everything I ate that morning, my stomach felt empty after. I went to wash my mouth so I could get the feel and the taste of his lips away from it.

After washing my mouth I decided to speak to Neveah. I wanted to thank her for all her help. Without her I wouldn't have been able to perfect this plan. I went to her room and I knocked. She opened up and let me in. Immediately I got inside, I gave her a hug. I couldn't resist it. I was very grateful, she hardly knew me and yet she agreed to help me.

"Thank you Neveah, without you I do not know how my plan could have worked. You are simply magnificent." I said smiling.

"It's no problem Freya, I was only doing my duty. I want to help as much as I can. From this moment forward consider me your ally." She said. We both sat down.

"So what's next?" She asked.

"We have to put a pause for now. Tomorrow I'll go drop a message that I won't be able to give more information for some time. Even though Eren has been blamed, I still have to be careful. I don't want to arouse suspicions this early." I said.

"You're already doing marvellously. Kye seems to have taken a liking to you from what I have seen so far. He hardly treats any woman like this." Neveah said.

"And I'm going to use it to my advantage. He'll feel the pain that I've felt these past few days when I kill him with my hands. Dieing by the hands of the one you love. Poetic isn't it?" I asked rhetorically.

"I sense that there is something more to your hatred for Kye. But I won't ask you about it till you're comfortable. 

"You can keep your secrets." She said

"Thank you Neveah, it's not something that I can tell you about right now." I said

"It's fine Freya." She said. I gave her one last hug and told her to take care of herself before I left.

Night time had approached and it was time to kill Eren. I told Kye I would do it myself and I didn't need him there. He had no problem giving the task to me. I ordered two guards to get Eren from the dungeon. They dragged him to the fighting ground where I was standing. He had fury in his eyes when he saw me. 

"You harlot!" He screamed trying to attack me. The guards restrained him as well as the chains that were on his legs.

"Temper, temper Eren." I said mockingly.

"Haven't you heard it's good to respect women. Didn't your mother teach you anything." I said.

"You'll pay for this." He said.

"I certainly won't. I'm not the traitor here, I'm I?" I said 

"You set me up!" He screamed again.

"And how would I have possibly done that. I was in a cell. I couldn't have done it now, Could I?" I said calmly.

"You and that maid are responsible and I'm going to prove it." He said.

"Where? In your grave." I said and then his eyes had fear in them.

"Tonight is your last night on earth Eren." I said.

"No! You can't do this to me." He said 

"Guards beat him and when you're done. Hand me a sword. I'll behead him, myself." I said. Eren screamed as he was being flogged with chains. I had a feeling in my chest. It felt like pity. Why did I pity someone who wanted me dead. Who didn't care whether I was a traitor or not as long as I was out of the picture. Who laughed at me when I was being dragged and treated as nothing. Who would have loved to be in my place right now, If he had the chance. After thinking of all this, All pity left my heart. The guard handed me the sword. I looked at Eren as he struggled to breathe.

"Please don't." He said

"Say hi to the devil for me Eren. Maybe you could be his next right hand man. In Hell." I said.

"No!" That was his last word before I sliced his head neatly away from his body.

"Take the remains away." I said shakily. This still affected me a bit. I left the fighting ground and went upstairs to the new room that was given to me. I sat on the bed and cried. I was happy, that a hurdle was removed but part of me still felt like a monster even if I knew I wasn't. I dried my tears and went to take a bathe before going to sleep.

I woke up in the middle of a forest. Everywhere was foggy. I could only here one voice.

"Annalyse" It said. The voice sounded ghostly.

"Annalyse." It repeated once more. I turned and I saw a figure. It was my mother.

"Mama." I said

"Come with me." She said. She started running.

"Mama, wait." I said chasing her. I ran towards her until I stopped at my childhood home. I saw her standing at the door.

"Mama." I said again.

"You have to come inside Annalyse" my mother said. I ran inside the house and then my mother disappeared. And the house transformed into the moon pack or I think it was. I turned and I saw Fire, destruction and something else. Something that chilled my bones. I saw Kye with a smirk on his face and a dangerous look in his eyes. He was standing over Ace. His hands ready to kill him.

"No!" I screamed and then I woke up, sweat shining on my forehead.

"Thea, are you okay?" I heard a voice say from beside me. It was Kye and he looked worried. When did he even get here?

"Is everything alright." He said coming closer to me and holding me close to his body. 

"I just had a bad dream." I said still wondering about the dream.

"Come on, you need air." He said and took my hand. We went outside and sat on the grass. He was still holding my hand.

"What was the dream about?" He asked. If he knew what I saw he wouldn't want to ask that question.

"It was my father." I said. Kye looked down and sighed.

"Do you have dreams about him a lot?" He asked.

"Most times. But this one was more... I don't know how to put it." I said.

"That's okay." He said. I turned to him suddenly remembering how he was in my room.

"What were you doing in my room? If you don't mind me asking." I said 

"Oh. I was watching you sleep." He said casually.

"Watching me sleep?" I asked confused about how he didn't find that creepy at all.

"Well that came out wrong." He said. "I wasn't watching in a creepy way. I just wanted to know if you settled in well in your new room. When I came you were tossing and turning. I assume you were having the dream around then." He said.

"Oh." I responded 

"Can I ask you for something Kye." I said 

"Yes?" He responded.

"Can I take a walk tomorrow?" I asked. He held my hands more tightly.

"You are my second in command now. You can take walks whenever you want but I want you back before nightfall." He said. The last part coming out sternly.

"Of course." I said smiling at him. He kissed my forehead and we went back inside.

The next morning I was preparing to go deliver the message on my façade of a walk. I took Neveah with me. We walked towards the forest and continued our journey towards the dragon fruit tree. My mind was still on my dream. What did that dream mean? 

"Are you okay Freya. You seem lost in thought?" She said.

"I'll be fine Neveah, don't worry about me. I just had a strange dream." I said

"What happened in this dream?" She asked. Before I could answer her. I saw a frame at the dragon tree. One I recognized all too well. It wasn't Yuri.

"Ace." I said and he turned. A bright smile on his face as he saw me. I couldn't stop the happy tears that fell from mine. I ran towards him, jumping into his open arms and kissing him. All the frustrations of the past few days being poured into that one kiss. I seemed to remember myself when Neveah cleared her throat behind us.

"I'll give you some privacy." She said with a cheeky smile on her face.

"Of course, Neveah." I said shyly. Ace nodded at her with a smile and turned towards me. He held my cheeks.

"I couldn't help myself. I needed to see you physically or I would have lost my mind." He said.

"How have you been doing. Did he hurt you?" He asked.

"I had a few close calls. But nothing I couldn't get myself out of. Sit let me tell you all about it." I said. I told Ace every single thing that had happened since I left. His eyes shone with different type of emotions as I spoke. But the most dominant was admiration.

"You are a force Freya." He said with pride in his eyes and he kissed me once more. I remembered the kiss that I and Kye shared and I thought it right to tell him about it. 

"Ace, there is something else that happened. But I want you to know that it meant nothing. It disgusted me even." I said 

"What is it?" He said worried.

"Kye and I shared a kiss. It meant nothing to me. I puked immediately after it even. We promised there would be no secrets between us. You have the right to know." I said. Ace looked amused.

"What is amusing you?" I asked.

"That you think I would be bothered that much about it. I am a bit bothered that the basterd kissed you but I'm not angry. I know your heart is with me and I know I'm the only one you love. But less kisses next time. Save my poor heart." He said with an amused smile on his face.

"Of course." I said laughing. He pulled me close to him, inhaling my scent.

"I missed you. You don't know how terribly I've missed you." He said.

"I've missed you as well." I said 

He brought his face closer to mine. His mouth decending on mine with such ferocity that I haven't see before.

"Ace" I moaned from the feel of it. His mouth devoured mine like a ferocious beast that hadn't tasted water for a long time. The feeling he was giving me was intense.

"Who do you belong to." He said in a rough voice. I could barely speak with all the things I was feeling.

"Answer me." He said kissing my neck. 

"You Ace. I belong to you. Only you." I said.

"I love you, so much Freya." He whispered

"I love you more." I said. We both stayed in each others arms for a while longer. Neveah came back reminding me that it was almost sundown. I turned to Ace, holding his hands.

"I'll stop coming for a while. I was able to pin it on Eren but I don't want to arouse any suspicion from Kye. Come back in the next five days. By then things would have settled." I told Ace.

"Take care of yourself, my love." He said. I hugged him once more and I kissed him.

"I will." I told him. Neveah and I went back to the rogue territory. When we got inside. I went upstairs and opened my room. Kye was there again.

"Hello." I told him. He turned to me.

"How was your walk. I hope it was refreshing?" He said 

"It was okay." Why was he always in my room. He came closer to me.

"Come with me. There's something I want to show you." He said. I walked out of the room with him and followed him closely. He took me to a place in the territory. Somewhere I hadn't seen before.

"I have a secret that I've been hiding in here. One that no one knows about." He said

"What is it?" I said.

"Come" he said. We went deeper into the place. I started hearing tiny sounds coming from behind a door. The only door in that place actually.

"What is that?" I said.

"You'll see." He said with a smile. "I was hoping it would cheer you up."

He opened the door and I saw rabbits. The room was filled with rabbits.

"Your secret is animals?" I said genuinely amused.

"My secret is my love for rabbits. Which no one can know about because it would make me look weak." He said.

"People knowing you have a soft spot for rabbits is a bad thing?" I said 

"Yes. It is for me. I only showed it to you because I feel I can trust you with it and because I wanted you to feel better. Your dream seemed to have shaken you a bit." He said.

"Thank you Kye." I said. He really was starting to trust me wasn't he? For him to show me this part of him.

"Don't worry I won't tell anyone about your dirty little secret." I said with a chuckle. He only gave a half smile to that.

"You can come here whenever you want. Whenever your dreams plague you. This can be your comfort place." He said 

"Thank you so much, I really appreciate it." I said. We fed the rabbits and I played with them a bit before we left. We had dinner and Kye invited me to stay in his room with him. It took every will within me to say yes. We laid down and I fell asleep.

I woke up to smoke and fire once more. I saw myself in the dream again. Back to where Kye was looming over Ace. Ace was limping trying to get away. Kye stepped on his hand.

"No!" I screamed but no one heard me. It was like I wasn't even there. When Kye rose his hand to strike him. The pack dissolved once again. This time I was in a dark room. I saw a girl crying in the middle of the room. It was me. I walked closer and touched her shoulder. She turned to look at me. She was crying blood.

"You failed. You failed Freya." She said.

"No, no I didn't." I said 

"Everthing. Everything was ruined because you're weak." She said

"I'm not weak." I screamed.

"Yes, you are." She said and I closed my ears.

"Stop!. Just stop it. Get me out of here!" I screamed and then I woke up again. This time Kye was asleep. I ran outside and took a deep breathe. What did all these dreams mean?.

"What is happening to me." I said. I stayed out there for a while before I went back inside, lying down next to Kye but my mind wasn't at rest. I needed to figure out what these dreams meant and I needed to figure it out quickly.
